Costume Technician
Basic Job Description
Costume technicians pattern or construct costumes for productions. This position is open to students who have completed a term of lab work in the costumes shop through TA 210, TA 212, or TA122.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Meet with Vicki (Costume Shop Supervisor) to determine the nature of your assignment in any of the following areas: construction, patterning, dyeing and painting, millinery, costume crafts, masks, wig styling
Establish a schedule for working on your project
Complete by first dress of the production
Make any changes needed that arise from rehearsals
The time commitment is the length of time it takes for you to complete your project, usually between 30-40 hours.
