Costume Design, 1984, University of Oregon.
Principal areas: costume design, patterning/draping, professional practice
in costume design, and fashion.
Joined UO Theatre Arts in 2015.

“Theatre is a living art, and costume design is part of bringing a special
world to life. By combining the areas of design, fashion history,
construction, sculpture, and surface modification, with an understanding
of the needs of the actor and a respect for the text, costumes can
communicate clearly with an audience to illuminate a play.”

Research Interests:
Professional practice in costume design, fabric modification, fitting,
patterning and draping, fashion

Member, United Scenic Artists Local 829, New York, 1990-present.
