Undergraduate Research Funding Opportunities

UROP Mini-grant

Mini-grant awards provide up to $1,000 of support to undergraduate student research or creative scholarship. Mini-grants may be used by recipients to purchase materials, equipment, and supplies that are necessary to complete their project and/or assist with travel expenses related to their project.

 

Knight Campus Undergraduate Scholars (KCUS)

The Knight Campus Undergraduate Scholars program is a comprehensive research experience designed to develop the next generation of leading researchers. The 12-month program immerses a cohort of students in a Knight Campus affiliated lab from January to December each year. Scholars receive a $16,000 fellowship award. No prior research experience is necessary to apply.

Humanities Undergraduate Research Fellowship (HURF)

The Humanities Undergraduate Research Fellowship program provides students with a $2,500 stipend to conduct humanities-related research under the guidance of a UO faculty member. The Fellowship takes place over 16 weeks during the Winter and Spring term and includes weekly cohort meetings where fellows will workshop their research/writing as well as participate in other guided activities in the areas such as research design, research communication, and career preparation.
